Happy Half Year Birthday My Love

Anderson,

On April 22, 2008 at 8:39p.m. you were born into this world. You were delivered by c-section because your heart rate slowed. They whisked you away into NICU and mommie didn't get to see you until the next morning. I had no clue how much I would love you! Not one clue. You have brought me and your daddy so much joy into this life that we never knew was possible. Now, I cannot imagine my life without you. I was meant to be your mommie! Thank you so much for the BEST six months of my life! I can't wait to see you grow up and see what you'll become...I know it will be great!

I love you, my love!

Your Momma

Kisses, Constipation and a Z pack

As good as I had been doing going to work lately....it strikes the dreaded STEP THROAT for me!! Yikes, I feel as if I have swallowed a soft ball. But Anderson and I have been having some quality time together, which is fabulous!!

While Adam and I work, Anderson stays with Mrs. Sherri, whose daughter goes to Prattville and she keeps Anderson during the day. I'm telling you this b/c.....oh yea, he's out of his routine an WILL NOT take a nap.

Anderson is also starting to push up and lastnight, made some wild motions like he was trying to crawl. Oh!!! My big boy!!!

All in all it's been a great couple of days except for the little to no naps, constipation(which a q-tip and some vasoline helped- for Anderson, not me) and me being sick. Who has time to be sick whwn you've got a busy 6 month old! But, I wouldn't trade any of it for the world:)

Complete euphoria

Who knew that one day, my own feelings, thoughts, or anything else would ever matter again. Since having Anderson, I have been experiencing complete and unconditional love for him. Today and every other day, we go and sit outside and play with Gracie, the neighborhood cat. And today, like any other day, we sat down to play and talk with her. I am trying to tell him all the words for everything, little by little. Gracie brushed by him and I put his hand on her and said "cat" and he squeeled with delight and rubbed her again, this time by himself. I cried, because it hit me, he understood!!

Another first, we let Anderson sleep in his bed today for a nap. Still can't bring myself to let him sleep in there at night...

I'm an addict

I have become increasingly more and more involved in some activities...what you ask? Ebay, I have started selling purses and wallets that I no longer have any use for. Now, when Anderson hits the bed, I rush to the computer to read everyone's blog and then quickly sign into ebay like a CRAZY person. I have even thought about going to garage sales and relisting the items on ebay for a second career, that will hopefully make enough money for my wonderful husband to say I don't need to work ;)

On a wonderful note, Anderson will be turning six months on this upcoming Wednesday. I'm even more in love than I have ever been!

I have a spitter

Anderson has learned the art of spitting, blowing spit bubbles and sticking his tongue out. He will be 6 months on Oct. 22. Everytime he does any of the above, it cracks me up...I hope I won't laugh later when I'm suppossed to be discipling him.

Every night my sweet baby is falling asleep at 7:30 and I feel as if I don't get to see much of him. I HATE working!! I'm still working on getting Adam to let me stay at home. Oh, how I wish I could be a stay at home momma...

Finally...it's Friday

I soooo love Fridays!! There are one of the best days of the week, except for Saturday. And oh how I love fall and getting ready for the upcoming holidays. We will be getting out fall decorations tomorrow.

Anderson is growing so big and I'm so happy about that because he was a month early and was in NICU. Anderson is still sleeping in his bassinet in the pack and play, and after examination, we figured out he was over the weight limit. I just COULDN"T bear the thought of him going to his room yet, probably every, (I know what you're thinking, this is a crazy mother) and yes, I am!! So, in the meantime between now and probably 14 he will sleep in his pack and play in the floor where we dropped the mattress from the bassinet.

We FINALLY got Anderson eating with a spoon twice a day(rice ceral),but he still makes a terrible little face. Eating with a spoon is HARD!!

Can't wait to just hang out with my boys tomorrow and be lazy, I probably won't even get a bath, but it's o.k. cause it's the weekend!:)

Oh...the beach!

Adam, Anderson and me had a nice little stay in Baytowne Warf in Destin this weekend! We stayed with Momma, Bob, his granddaughter Jessica and her friend. It was a great weekend! Anderson enjoyed being somewhere different, but on Sunday was READY to come home and slide back into his routine. He has gotten into this momma thing, where he wants me alot, which makes me very happy! So, needless to say, I can't leave his side...much.

Adam and I had a much needed night out to ourselves, which was 2 hours long. The whole time, I was thinking...I hope Anderson is okay with momma. Who knew it could be like this...I didn't :) It is the most surprising feeling of ultimate and unconditional love for a human being. WOW!!
