Anderson ate 3 helpings of my dressing!
We had a wonderful day on Thursday! I was constantly in the kitchen cooking something. Pumpkin pie, dressing, butterscotchies( they are from my friend Becky. Who is simply a marvelous cook! The only problem was that I ate most of them and gained back the two pounds I had lost-DARNIT Becky(don't you like how I don't take the blame!:) Becky if you are reading this: give me a link to put the recipe on here :)
Adam cooked the turkey, and green bean casserole. Here is Adam putting the turkey in(we used a Reynolds bake bag) have you ever used these? They are so neat and make your meat so juicy. Awesome!
The funniest thing was the Adam couldn't get the clamp off the turkey legs before we cooked it, so we drug out the wire cutters!
The night before Thanksgiving, we put up one tree(that's all we're putting up this year because you know who loves to take things off and bring them to us).
I honestly think he could look/play with the tree for HOURS!
Today, mom and Bob are on their way to Grand Prairie, HOORAY I can't wait to see them!!

Thankful!!!
I know this is so cliqued(can I use that?is that a word?) but I just couldn't help and list some of the things I am thankful for. My cup runneth over!
1.First and foremost, I am so thankful that we have a God who forgives us and loves us unconditionally, even when we sin.
2. I am thankful that I share my life with this wonderful man who I have loved for 11 years and I will love for eternity! He is my best friend and husband!
3. I am thankful for the other love of my life, who taught me 19 months ago...it's not about you! He is such a blessing, I never knew that my every waking thought would be consumed with this young man and the LOVE I have for him!
4. I am thankful for my momma...
we are kindred spirits(she used to say they forgot to cut the umbilical cord at birth)-she is probably right...
5. I am thankful for these precious babies(I've already mentioned Anderson) but these wonderful doggies, Annabelle and Gus who were our first babies! They will always be faithful!
6. I am thankful for our extended family-they are everything we need! Happy Thanksgiving!!(or as Anderson says. tank yoo divvin!)

In other news: Annabelle is thankful for her bone
Anderson kept trying to give Gus his, but he would never take it
So.....
We have made an offer on a house in Mansfield, TX. We should get the news of if they accepted or declined on Monday! I'll keep you posted.

You can't catch me...
We have had a great weekend! We've looked at LOTS of homes in Mansfield and hmmm I just don't know...we'll have to see what it brings!
On Saturday, we received this little package from Adam's sweet momma, Gami! I just LOVE care packages and am finding out that since we are a long way away from our family we get these a LOT! And I LOVE that! :)
If you can't see that much from the picture it's a beautiful gingerbread outfit , gingerbread doll, book and of course a delicious gingerbread cookie! Anderson is in LOVE with the gingerbread doll who he calls "Run", because in the book, the gingerbread man says "Run, run as fast as you can...you can't catch me...I'm the gingerbread man"! He's a haughty little thing isn't he? Every time we read the book, Anderson says "cookie" because he wants to eat this yummy gingerbread cookie all over again. It's LONG gone in our tummies! Ha! It was delicious too!
He just forget that we ate it all up! It was pretty hilarious because as you can see in the picture that Anderson is eating his gingerbread cookie, he also tried to feed the gingerbread doll some of the cookie. Ewww gingerbread cannibalism!!! Ha!

I am gearing up for Thanksgiving this Thursday. It's not going to be the first Thanksgiving by ourselves. I cooked for us the first year we were married. I've cooking lots of things like a HUGE turkey, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, and pumpkin pie! We are going to have way too much food! Oh well, Mom and Bob will be here next Sunday, so they can help us polish off the leftovers! I'm so excited to see them!

A Masterpiece
I am so EXCITED! I have been obsessing about Anderson's room. I've been feeling as if it's not complete. We had no pictures on the wall and it just kinda felt drab! I decided that I wanted original artwork for his room and I found Doodles by Lauren on Kelly's Korner. She does AMAZING artwork and is SUPER talented. Look at her work for Anderson's room:

Even the sides of the paintings are adorable!
And look at how she addressed the package! Too cute!!
She is very affordable and I am so thrilled with the paintings that she did and Anderson is too!
You can contact her here!
One more deal for you from Frugal Coupon Mom(again, check on the right side of my page and you can click her website from there) you can get 1 free photo calendar from Vista Print. Perfect idea for grandparents for Christmas!
Hope you've had a great Friday! Tomorrow we are going to look at houses in Mansfield which is south of Ft. Worth. It's a great area, with even better schools!
Mom and Bob are coming a week from Sunday! Hooray, I can't wait to see them!!

It's done
Well...it's done. Anderson has received the H1N1 vaccine. I'm kind of relieved too because all of the news reports about these babies who get very sick and die with the actual H1N1 virus - just shakes me to the very core! Every person who knows me well, knows that well...I'm just a panicky mom, there's not other way to explain it. He's sleeping now, and I'm glad. He's sooo tired today! He hasn't been sleeping well...what a shock! :)
We had a good day! First we cashed in a lotto ticket that I won $10 whole dollars onto the 7/11 the lady asked me do you want to buy some more? I said, "no, that's our Chick-Fil-A money" and we went to eat after we left Hobby Lobby.
Which reminds me...I LOVE Hobby Lobby so much and Anderson does too, they have their Christmas ornaments on 50% off and we found a beautiful one for my mom that had Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph(I'm sooo addicted to manger scenes) and Anderson INSISTED on holding it and just kept saying "mawry" so stinkin' cute!!! Then he proceeded to put Joseph's head in his mouth, Ha!
Happy Birthday to my step-father Bob Hall(he's not at all like my step-father..he's more like a second dad-TRULY) I LOVE this man!
Quick story...have you heard it? When I was in Bob's class at Northview, 11th grade American History, I told him that I wanted him to meet my mom. I thought they were "soul mates" Good grief was I a drama queen or what back then...wait.. I still am! Anyways, on my final exam I put our telephone number on the top of my test and told him to call my momma. While I was in Europe with my dad over the summer, Bob called. And oops, I forgot to tell momma I gave him our number. Long story short...they got married 6 months later!!! Now, who is a good match maker!!?!! OH, and I still made just an 88 on my exam....geez!

Wednesday

Anderson and I headed to the Nature and Science Museum at Fair Park in Dallas! When we first walked in, I thought...this is WAY too old for him. BUT, in the basement they have a section dedicated to babies 0-6 years old
It was really neat-o! Oh and they have these cool huge swan boats on the lake...but those cost extra, so we didn't do that!
On another note, if you live in a different city than you grew up in, how did you make friends? I see all these moms places we go and they all have a friend that goes with them. We are going to church, so maybe I'll find some friends there who don't work. It's hard.
Yes, the Christmas cards are working on www.seehere.com just the 4x8 size use the code freebies4mom-1109 at the checkout.
Tomorrow, Anderson is going to get his H1N1 shot. There are A LOT of sick babies in the Metroplex area and I'm not taking any chances. I asked our doctor if Anderson already had it once, could he get it again. Her response was "yes, because their was a H1N1 strain in January that was mild and another strain in April that was much worse". I know that I stay home, but we go to public places and I'm just nervous.

Pinching Those Pennies and a sweet boy
I've been really working hard to try and get some better pictures of Anderson to go on our Christmas card, but as you can see, 1. it was really cold and his nose was red and 2. it's pretty hard to get a 19 month old to smile!
Sometimes he looks exactly like his daddy
and sometimes I think you know...he looks a lot like me too!
We've gone to the dog park
this morning and Anderson LOVES to pick up rocks wherever we go, I guess that's the boy in him and he kept telling me "rock" and I took his picture. Turns out, it wasn't a rock...it was hard dog stinkies(YUCKKKK) Needless to say...he got a good hand cleaning when we got to the car. Two pretty cool things to tell you about. I know some of you are working moms and some of you are stay at home moms...but couldn't we all use some more money, especially now at this time of year? I've got this great website on the side of my blog over there to the right it's www.frugalcouponliving.com if you click on this it's a link. I got this Leap Frog Alphabet Pal (which is usually $19.98) for .49 cents I am not lying! (Kelly, please close your eyes...this is Aaden's present)!
I promise we got him something else, we didn't just spend .49 cents on him! Ha! Plus from her website I got a coupon and got some wipes and it made them .54 cents!
Also you can go to www.seehere.com and upload a picture and it will make 50 free Christmas cards PLUS free shipping! This is awesome!
Happy couponing!
