Hello friends!

It was that time again. Time to get Anderson's hair cut. I always HATE having to go to do it. Especially, because his hair was getting long in the back and was curling in the humidity. I LOVE those beautiful curls!!! But, it was getting kind of mullet-ish, so a little hair cut never hurt anybody. Anyways, it will grow back...right?! But, I really liked it!Soon, we are going to start P.T. (potty training) maybe next month. I am REALLY dreading it! I'm gonna try and do what my friend Brandi did with her kids. The potty training boot camp. Which is a three day p.t. boot camp where you take your kids basically every 20 minutes and really reward them with all kinds of prizes and a really big prize at the end when they FINALLY get it! Is that right Brandi??

Any suggestions on the potty training that really worked for you?? I need all the help I can get!!

Kids Museum!

Hello friends!
Anderson and I went to the Ft. Worth Science Museum for Kids! We went with my friend Casey and her two kiddos. We had such a great time!

We saw cool things like giant shadow pinwheelsPlayed with toys from MexicoThey had the MOST AWESOME dinosaur dig you've ever seen. Complete with a nice creek to wade in. Or sit down in...which is what A likes to do!And of course they had a neat souvenir store. Anderson ran straight towards the dinosaur books!

It was a great day to be outside a little bit and then come inside to the cool air! Hope you are staying cool too!

Disney World Day 4

Hello Friends!
Day 4 at Disney World we decided to go to Epcot. This is Adam's favorite park at Disney. I have to admit that Anderson liked it a WHOLE lot more than I thought he would. We started off the day with Spaceship Earth(the huge ball pictured here) They have really done some updating at Epcot and in Spaceship Earth they take your picture and add into the storyline at the end. It's pretty cool!It was pretty hot and it was only 9:30 in the morning. Good thing, I packed A's bathing suit for the day. Anderson played and played on the splash pad. We were thinking, really what is their for a 2 year old to do at Epcot? But, he really LOVED it. He adored Ellen's Energy Adventure with the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are our new thing.

Epcot has also updated the Living Seas Aquarium into Nemo's underwater ride. A really LOVED this one. This was his favorite of the day!! I think we stayed for almost 2 hours! Also...it was really cool inside (like air-conditioner cool;)Here are mom and Sydney on the Nemo Ride in the clam carrier-ha!
Then, we headed over to the countries of the world. The first thing we saw here was Belue from Jungle Book and we HAD to get our picture taken with him!Here is Mom and me in jolly old England! Adam and me with all of the countries in the background.
We stopped in France and got creme brewle and chocolate eclairs and cooled off while Anderson took a good nap.We were so hot that we stopped in Morocco for Anderson to take a dip in the fountain. Ha! He was hot he was walking around and almost seriously went swimming.We ended our day by eating at Mexico(which is my favorite)! It's really good, but the atmosphere inside is the best. It looks like Mexico City at night, complete with boat rides and a Mayan temple in the background.Mom bought A a pinata and a parrot to keep him busy while we ate!We had such a great time in Disney, and I want to thank my Momma for taking us! We will always remember Anderson's first trip!

Will you please pray for Adam's cousin, Emily? She is 33 weeks pregnant and is labor and headed to Pensacola for delivery. Please pray that her baby girl Julia will be perfect and healthy and that Emily will have an easy delivery.

Disney World Day 3

Hello friends!
My cousin, Sydney met us in Orlando and we were so excited to see her.I have NO idea why this picture is sideways...I can't change it! You see, we haven't seen each other since we were 19 years old. She and I embarked on a road trip that Summer to visit my Aunt Beverly in Arizona. We had such a fun time together that Summer!
We decided to go to Animal Kingdom. It was so unbelievable all of the cool shows they have and Anderson LOVED it! This particular one was Festival of the Lion King...AWESOME!! I don't think Anderson moved a muscle!We did Kilimanjaro Safari. This is a neat-o trip through a wildlife reserve and the animals are right there as your bus drives through. This was Anderson's favorite of the day!We went back to Magic Kingdom that afternoon after Anderson's nap and rode Small World...again!!! Adam and Syd rode Space Mountain and waited for an hour and a half! WOW! So, Mom, Anderson and me rode the caroseul and we had to name all of the horses for Anderson to ride on them. And of course...he rode seatbelt-less cause of the incident with Dumbo. So...round and round we went with Mom on Snowy the horse, and A and me on Snowball the horse! It was super fun!!

We ate supper at the Liberty Tree Tavern and it was SO GOOD! It was nice and cool and wonderful food too! Family style(is that what they call these large portions?)The last thing we did was The Haunted Mansion. I was worried about A getting scared...but he went to sleep! ha!

Disney World-Day 2

Hello friends!
We have been at Hawaiian Falls(our local water park) and are really tired, but had a lot fun!

Now, where was I...oh yes, Day 2 we were at Magic Kingdom.When we started riding rides, we weren't sure how Anderson would do in those long lines. But, he did really good. We kept telling him that we had to wait in line(a great lesson for him) and we had to be patient(a great lesson for me too;)
We rode Space Mountain(not Anderson) but Disney has an awesome feature called "baby swap", where your child waits in line with you and you ride and your husband holds the child and then when you get back you switch. It's pretty cool!
We did the fun tea cups!And Adam and Anderson rode Dumbo! Except somebody didn't like Dumbo as much as we though he would. He was fine, until they put the seat belt on him...then he went ballistic! ha!Then we went on the rides of all rides. Anderson's favorite ride EVER...Small World. We rode it two more times and the last time we rode it he got SO SCARED and covered his ears and closed his eyes. When we got off the ride he kept saying "goat feathers" and this was the culprit that scared him so bad! Sorry it's sideways and I can't turn it around. This little green and yellow goat. Every time we would mention it, Anderson would get real still and close his eyes and cover his ears and say "Momma, hold you".

I've decided that every time we go back to Disney World that I want to get Anderson's picture taken by this Indian in Frontier Land( I was trying to hide, oh well). We stayed late and watched part of the Electrical Light Parade. It was really fun, but Anderson was tired and so were weso we headed back to our hotel in the mass hysteria of all the people trying to get out of the park. But looking at this made it just bearable!

Disney-Day 1andPart of Day 2

Hello friends! I had been waiting for this vacation for so LONG and it finally had gotten here!!Let me start off by saying that we went to Alabama first and then went to Orlando for the week.
We stayed with my mom.We swam and swam some more. Then we went to see my Daddy and rode the golf cart, Anderson's favorite!She made banana pudding and decorated it just for the occasion!Guess who wanted some...Emma, her golden retriever ;)

We drove down on Monday morning and checked in to our hotel. We stayed hereand LOVED it! They even had these towels all ready for us. Seriously...how cool is that?!We didn't do any parks on Monday, because we didn't get there until 3p.m. so we headed to Downtown Disney to look around and shop.We thought we were in trouble because Anderson was in FINE FORM and was running around like a mad man! But he was really perfect during the whole trip(minus a few hits to us here and there;) He would even tell us "be patient" when waiting in line.

Tuesday morning, we woke up early because it was our first day here and we had breakfast planned.

This is my FAVORITE park! Anderson was less than thrilled to ride on the monorail, because he was ready to, in his words "go in" Magic Kingdom and couldn't believe we had to take a monorail there. So he threw a nice fit on the monorail and 2 time outs later, he was better.
We went to eat at the Crystal Palace with Winne the Pooh and friends inside Magic Kingdom. That was the BEST breakfast and the characters really took time and were good about stopping and seeing us and great about taking pictures! Anderson REALLY enjoyed this!!

I'm gonna stop here, because Anderson needs a nap and I'm getting tired of uploading pictures, be back tomorrow!!
