Please say a prayer

I read my last blog about our washing machine and Anderson not sleeping well and I read this blog and I think to myself "how can you be so petty" many people are having hard issues to deal with. I don't even know this family, I just began reading their blog and praying for them. I think that we CAN change things with prayer. HE does listen and still does miracles all the time!

Please say a prayer for this sweet family and their baby girl Harper tonight, they need all the prayers sent up to heaven that they can get.

You make me want to SCREAM!!

You have been with us for almost 5 years and are the loudest member of our family. You shake the walls of our laundry room and wake up our baby. You get off balance and go CRAZY!! I scream, "I hate you" but you can't hear me, because you're stuck on the spin cycle. We are replacing you on Sunday and I won't be sad to see you go.



As you can tell, I am soooo frustrated with our washing machine. What kind of front load washer do you all recommend? We need help choosing between brands.



Please say a prayer for my dear friend Angela, she will be going through an aversion tomorrow to meet the newest member of her family (Reid House).

37 minutes...

37 minutes, is a relatively short amount of time, but when your child is crying, it seems like an eternity!!! I know, you're thinking, ''how could you have let your child cry for 37 minutes"?! Anderson woke up at 10 p.m and cried for 37 minutes, 2:45a.m. cried for 15 minutes and then 4:25 cried for 5 minutes. The first 37 minutes went by SO slowly and I laid on the floor and cried too. Then, I just wanted him to calm himself down and go to sleep. I patted him on the back and "tried" to go to sleep.

I felt terrible at first, then I felt terrible because I wasn't feeling bad about letting our child cry it out and then I just felt TIRED. Again, Adam and I are zombies and our young man is probably at Mrs. Sherri's napping it up.

When I went to turn him over last night and pat him on the back, he said "Mama" and I wanted to pick him up and tell him you'll never have to do that again. I was STRONG and knew that it was hopefully in his best interest.

Agenda for tonight, more sleep;)

OK... we're gonna try

Adam and I look and feel like zombies! Anderson was up 3 times lastnight! As much as I HATE it, I'm getting support and think he's going to have to cry it out. It makes me shudder to think about doing this. But he and we aren't getting healthy sleep...I'll keep you posted

If not now, when?

This post can have two different meanings. The first is the one I intended, Anderson and his issue of sleeping-AGAIN!! He is teething, but we have been waiting on those fun little top two to bust through since Christmas and they haven't. He slept like a champ from 2 months-7 months and then all of a sudden 1-2 times per night he is up and I'm so tired that I just put him in bed with us, because it's easier. I know, I'm a bad parent and I'm spoiling our child. But you try to go to work and manage 17-18 year olds with little to no sleep! Also, he takes 30 minute naps during the day with me, but 3 hour naps with Mrs. Sherri, his babysitter, go figure.

The second part of my post, is I am ready to be a stay at home momma. How can I achieve this? All you stay at home momma's I need your help. Even if I don't know you, please give a sista some clues...Thanks ever so much!

A Birthday, a visit and a BIG thank you

I know, I know, I have gotten increasingly worse at posting blogs. I am on my way to doing better. I have been busy as you know, with Anderson, whilst Adam is taking his bar review classes at night.

Speaking of bar review classes. Boy! Is it lonely around here when Anderson is asleep and Adam is away studying very hard. Thank goodness Momma and Bob came up last Thursday night to break up the monotony! We went to dinner at Carrabba's, which is one of our favorites. Anderson and I only got to spend a small time with them, but it helped out-ALOT! Anderson is in a brief period ( to my dismay) in his life where he only wants Adam or me to hold him and he cries when anybody but us or Mrs. Sherri(babysitter) holds him. Now, while I did not make him this way, I will take it. He will only do this for a short time period;)

This past, Saturday, Adam turned 31! Wow, I can't believe that we are getting so... I don't want to say it, but old...er. WE had a lazy day at home. We met Mike and Tami, Adam's parents in Troy for his birthday supper. Fun, fun, fun! Happy Birthday Adam!

We also got a nice well sort of surprise, I mean I was expecting it, but I forgot about it. You know those are the best kind of surprises, the ones you know about, but get surprised by when they arrive. My friend Becky made Anderson a taggie blanket and sent it to him in the mail. He was so thrilled by it, he snatched it from me as soon as it was opened and quickly began chewing on his taggie blanket. Thank you Becky, it is AWESOME and so are YOU!!!

Anderson is saying Mama, not on command of course, but he IS saying it and today I "think" he said "hi" when I picked him up. He is definitely growling like a dinosaur at Mrs. Sherri's little girl, that is their new thing.

A New Year Has Come!

I can't believe that it is 2009! It seems that 2008 went by so fast! So many wonderful things happened in 2008, 1. Anderson was born 2. Adam graduated from law school 3. My Mimi (step mom) got declared "cancer free"

Also some sad things happened in 2008, 1. Grandmomma Ivey passed away, 2. two of my students I taught last year, both died in car accidents

Please say a little prayer for my sister in law, Kelly, who is in the hospital tonight. She is 20 weeks pregnant and is being monitored for high blood pressure. She is going to be the BEST mom!

I am a single parent for the next 6 and one half weeks(well for the most part). Adam is taking bar review classes and is going Monday-Friday nights from 6-10 p.m. Anderson and I miss him terribly! He will even have to go some Saturdays and Sundays until February 25 when he takes the Bar Exam for 3 days. But, we are taking one for the team and pray that he will pass his Bar. Boy, my hat is off to all the single parents out there, how do you do it?!
