Family, family everywhere!

We went to Dothan this weekend to go the Peanut Festival(more about that later) and we are glad we went home, but know why we don't go alot! We are EXHAUSTED!!! Loading up all of our stuff and Anderson's too, is a chore in and of itself. Saturday, Mom, Anderson and me went to visit my Papa Ivey who is 90 years old and still in pretty good health. He was delighted to see Anderson and Anderson was delighted to see him as well. Anderson thought Papa was a jumperoo! My 90 year grandfather had to bounce Anderson up and down for 5 minutes straight...that's tiring to even Adam and me!

Then, we went to see Granny Hall, which is Bob(my step dad's momma) who is 91, she too, was delighted to see Anderson! She told me she forgot she had been wanting to see him. He gave her the best hug ever!

Anderson had fun with the grandmothers and grandfathers too!

We did NOT go to the Peanut Festival, due to Alabama almost going into overtime (it was already 6:30p.m) and Anderson not having an afternoon nap and screaming his sweet head off...we headed to Momma's to put him down, and he went DOWN at 7:00 on the dot! It was a fun, but tiring weekend!

Thank God It's Almost Friday

It has been a rough couple of weeks at work. I have never been happy working, but since having Anderson, EVERYTHING and I do mean everything has changed. Last week, I called a student a "little jerk" because he was being insenitive about the upcoming election and students of colors feelings. Then today, I jumped all over another just because he sat in the nurse's office all period long. Which still pisses me off when I think about it...;)

What I mean to say is that you hear folks talk about burn out and I think I am slowly nearing that point in my career. When I just want to scream "I can't take it anymore"!!! Yes, it's hard to be a teacher, but I could be much better, I feel as if I'm slipping on doing a good job.

My thoughts drift to Anderson and what he's doing and I really just go to work at 7:45 and leave at 3:30 and that's all the thought I give to it. Sorry...I'm ranting!

It WILL all work out, I know it will!

On a more uplifting note, we are trying to get Anderson to sit up and he refuses. We have sat him up in bumbo, on the couch, support him and he just wants to recline and laughs when he arches his back in sweet defiance! He will sit up in due time, I've quit obsessing about it.

We are headed to Dothan this weekend (whew, I just get tired thinking about it) for the Peanut Festival, Anderson's first trip. I will post pics soon!

I'm super excited with my new domestic project for Anderson! I went to Hobby Lobby and got some ribbon, hot glue and a onesie and ta-da! The Christmas onesie! I feel so crafty...wonder what I'll do next, maybe make Anderson an outfit...haha, we'll see. :)

Adam liked it, and said I could even do one of his white t-shirts and maybe add some glitter. I told him he can laugh when we are millionaires one day, due to my designs. It kinda looks a little girlie, maybe I can make it more boyish with some red pants.

Adam, Anderson and I visited Santuck today. If you don't know what Santuck is, you're missing out. It is a HUGE flea market/yard sale in Central Alabama(outside Wetumpka) every month. We got an outfit for Anderson which is absolutely adorable! It only cost $18!! Yay us! We had a great time! Keep in mind I did not make this, wish I could though!

Trick or Treat

Today was Anderson's very first Halloween! He was a little penguin(happy feet). We decided to go to Jalapeno's Mexican Restaurant and enter him into a contest...hopefully he'll win!

Then we went trick or treating and Anderson cried the whole way around the block, because it was dark out and he is afraid of the dark. So that was super fun. It was just wonderful being able to have a baby for his first Halloween. I can't wait for many more Halloweens!

6 months pictures

YA'LL!! Adam and I had Anderson's 6 month pictures made today at Portrait Innovations, and they are BEAUTIFUL!!! He wore his sailor suit, (my momma used to dress me in one every Easter until I was 12-I'm a little embarrassed to admit that) and his penguin Halloween costume. The pictures are already back and hanging on our wall!! I hope we don't spend this much money every time he has a picture made, but we probably will, it's SOOOO worth it!.

Anderson has become quite the squeeler...high squeals, low squeals, you name it. We were at Holiday Market yesterday and he squeeled so loud that a man in front of us jumped and I laughed too hard to apologize. :) Our boy is gonna be something else!!

On April 22, 2008 at 8:39p.m. you were born into this world. You were delivered by c-section because your heart rate slowed. They whisked you away into NICU and mommie didn't get to see you until the next morning. I had no clue how much I would love you! Not one clue. You have brought me and your daddy so much joy into this life that we never knew was possible. Now, I cannot imagine my life without you. I was meant to be your mommie! Thank you so much for the BEST six months of my life! I can't wait to see you grow up and see what you'll become...I know it will be great!

Kisses, Constipation and a Z pack

As good as I had been doing going to work lately....it strikes the dreaded STEP THROAT for me!! Yikes, I feel as if I have swallowed a soft ball. But Anderson and I have been having some quality time together, which is fabulous!!

While Adam and I work, Anderson stays with Mrs. Sherri, whose daughter goes to Prattville and she keeps Anderson during the day. I'm telling you this b/c.....oh yea, he's out of his routine an WILL NOT take a nap.

Anderson is also starting to push up and lastnight, made some wild motions like he was trying to crawl. Oh!!! My big boy!!!

All in all it's been a great couple of days except for the little to no naps, constipation(which a q-tip and some vasoline helped- for Anderson, not me) and me being sick. Who has time to be sick whwn you've got a busy 6 month old! But, I wouldn't trade any of it for the world:)
