Spring Break- Part I

Hello friends, we headed back home to Alabama last week for Spring Break. It was so nice to be back, and everything was just beginning to bloom. Just beautiful. I love Spring.

Adam's brother, Anthony and his wife Kelly and their son Aaden came over to Gami's house to eat and for the cousin's to hang out. This is one of the things that I hate most about living in Texas is not having cousins around for Anderson to bond with. I loved my cousins so much growing up, they were my first friends.

 Sydney, Anderson's other cousin came over to Nunna's (my mom)and they played for hours. They love playing with each other too.

Playtime

Hello friends,

We are getting packed up to go to Alabama soon. We will also spend a couple of days at the beach. Anderson is so excited about going back to the beach. It makes my heart happy to see him love all the things that I loved as a child. He loves going to Papa Ivey's old beach cottage (as he calls it), the Jetties, Alvin's Island(which is pretty pitiful now) and of course Thomas Doughnuts. I think we would stand in that long line all day for those yummy treats.

I took Bekah, Charlie and Anderson to the mall yesterday. What's a trip to the mall without a stop by the cookie store?

They played on the playground and burned off some energy inside, because it was cold outside.

And of course, we stopped by Barnes and Nobles to read. Yes, we use it as our own personal library.

I have used starfall.com with Anderson since he was about 14 months old and he still loves it. He can do the computer all by himself now and would sit here all day long if I would let him.

Lately

Hello friends,

It looks like the zoo is all we ever do. But, Anderson loves it and we have annual passes so it's free and fun. We took Anderson and his friend Bekah again to the Dallas Zoo.They have a really neat nature trading center that you can bring things in that you find in nature and trade them. Anderson has already found some shells that we got from Panama City Beach last summer that he is going to take.

We are headed to Dothan soon. I'm excited to see our family. We will be at the beach for a couple of days too...yay!! So excited for Thomas Doughnuts and Miracle Strip!

Beagle Buddies

Hello friends,
We have this sweet foster girl, Khaki the little lemon beagle. And as part of our agreement, we take her out and show her off at adoption events. On Sunday, we had to go to Pizza Lounge in Dallas(across from Fair Park..which is a really cool area) with Khaki. We took Anderson and some books and puzzles. Not that he even looked at one book and this picture of him doing the puzzle was when he sat still for 1 second. He ran around like a crazy person and kept opening the doors for people and trying to tie the beagles to the chairs...silly boy!

Good reports and other things

Hello friends,
Anderson goes to school at the church on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every day that I pick him up and he has a gotten a good report or a smiley face, we go somewhere fun and usually free. Usually we go to the park, or to feed ducks, the pet store or on animal roads and we take apples and carrots to feed them. It's such beautiful land and is very peaceful.

Thursday, I picked up Anderson and he had a good report(yay!)he was even the calendar helper which means that he gets to decide how they were going to do for February 21. He decided they should jump 21 times...he said the class was tired! Haha! I asked him if he did it too, and he answered "no, I was the helper" I love this kid.

We drove down our animal road and saw horses and donkeys and fed them. Well, they were being snobby and wouldn't eat the apples. But, we threw them over anyways.


On Friday, Bekah came and stayed the day with us. We took Anderson, Bekah and Baby Charlie to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. It was a blustery day. But the kids had a lot of fun!

Hello friends,

I have just recently taught Anderson how to use a camera. It has opened up a whole new world for him and it's funny for me to see things as he sees them! Ha! These are his pictures that were on my camera.

 Some of them are quite artistic! I love the self portrait of his little hand on the left side.

 This little lemon beagle(they are called that because they don't have the black like the tri colored do) is Khaki. She's our newest foster pup. She's 6, house trained, good with kids and very loving girl!
